Here’s an opportunity you might like to promote through your library service to aspiring young artists in your communnity:
Be part of The Big Issue’s Kids Cover Competition – design a festive cover for us, and it could be featured front and centre on our national magazine this December.
We are looking for cover artwork that is bright, bold and imaginative – it can be in pencil, paint, texta, collage, glitter, digital art…any medium!
Submission details

- Entry is free, for kids aged 12 and under.
- Theme: festive fun. Tell us what the holidays mean to you.
- Illustrations should be A4, or use our cover template, you can download here
- You can submit one of two ways:
- Scan the original illustration and email it as a jpeg or pdf to: [email protected]. (Please hold on to the original, in case we need it later on.)
- Send us the original via the post: Kids Cover Competition, The Big Issue, GPO 4911, Melbourne, Vic 3001.
- A parent/guardian’s name, email and phone number must be included in the body of the email. Plus, the entrant’s name and age.
